Palmaire offers hip condos outside usual Phoenix areas
April 8th, 2008 categories: Phoenix condos, lofts and townhouses

Palmaire, a Phoenix condo conversion, is proof that not all the city’s stylish, urban-looking properties are located in the Biltmore, downtown and midtown areas.
Once in the courtyard of the complex, located at 1630 E. Georgia Ave., north of Camelback Road on 16th Street, the exposed block — a not-so domestic material — on the exterior signals an urban influence in the remodel.
Built in 1964, the 18 residences combine mid-century modern architecture with contemporary finishes. Features include dual-pane windows, European-style kitchens, smooth-finish plaster walls, vertical-grain bamboo floors, ceramic tile in bathrooms and an optional I-Pod docking station. The community has a pool, exercise room, manicured landscaping, on-site and nearby street parking available.
The units are one to three bedrooms and one to two baths. Unit size is 984 to 1,421 square feet and prices are $199,000 to $327,500.
