About Joe Kovesdy

my-pic-for-about-page5.jpgThere are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional — integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and providing a network of top-notch professionals. All of these are major hallmarks of how I work.

That said, in my experience as a Phoenix-area Realtor, I believe providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, negotiating with my client’s best interests in mind, communicating effectively with loan officers/mortgage consultants, appraisers, agents, inspectors, title and escrow agencies/companies, and responding quickly to your needs.

A Valley of the Sun resident since 2000, I am intimately familiar with Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe, which are the communities I work most in. In representing buyers and sellers in these areas, I’m able to stay abreast of housing inventory, schools, commute times and businesses. Additionally, I take time to tour and gather details on new developments not yet listed in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), giving my clients access to information on the newest projects before they hit the market.

My “client-first” philosophy requires me to continually analyze the way I do business and improve my skills.  In 2007, I earned my Graduate of Realtor Institute (GRI) designation, which signifies advanced training and education for already-licensed agents. According to the National Association of Realtors, only 18 percent of Realtors have earned the GRI designation. I am now completing the final requirements for an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation, which represents advanced education in representing buyers.

A former journalist, I have strong communication and listening skills. These skills coupled with my ability to keep a cool head during negotiations have played a major role in my success. For my career as a reporter, I earned a B.A. in journalism from Ohio State University.

Finally, I’ve found that employing the latest technologies — online transaction management and contracts, Blackberry for immediate e-mail access and Internet marketing for homes — has allowed me to streamline the way I work, getting better and faster results for my clients.

So, if you are considering buying or selling a home, please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.
